Since our establishment in 1933 to provide financial services to employees of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Northwestern Mutual Credit Union has grown to become a full-service financial institution. But unlike other financial institutions, we are a not-for-profit cooperative organized solely to meet the needs of our members – who are also owners of our credit union. Rather than paying dividends to shareholders, earnings are returned to our members in the form of higher yields on savings, better loan rates, fewer and lower fees, and additional services.

Membership is open to full and part-time employees of The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. and its subsidiaries, as well as retirees and surviving spouses of these categories and immediate family members. Once membership is established and properly maintained, you can continue to enjoy credit union benefits for the rest of your life.
